Oh goody. An iPad podcast that DIDN'T irritate me. You and MacBreak Weekly. I made it 2 min into Engadget's coverage and just gave up and deleted the podcast. :P

I DESPISED the bezel when I first saw it. But yesterday they posted that story about Apple getting a patent for touch motions along the bezel. That sounds awesome! Plus, as you said, I can see it'd be a pain having your thumbs on the display surface.

I like the use of iPhone OS. I've tinkered with Windows tablets up to having Win 7 on them and poking around a desktop OS seems to be a pain. Plus you have to deal with patching it, etc. Meh. I like that they took what we all know about using an iPhone and improved upon it with the new menus, etc.

iBooks? I really hope they can garner a great inventory of new and old books to sell. Plus I'm hoping with all the capabilities of the iPad that they include color photos, media, etc in the books. I had a kindle 1/2 for a few days each and just...eh, I found it too slow, too static and too single purpose to be worth its cost.

iWork: Did you see it supports BT keyboards? How long before someone puts out a flip case for it with a built in baby type able keyboard? I think the apps look great though and I'm looking forward to trying out some light word processing on Pages.

OH! Also there was that story that iPad apps will be store documents inside the app bundle and will be able to broadcast your documents wirelessly to your computer.

Sorry my comment is getting long. All in all I can see some use cases for this. Every morning I get up, clean up my personal/work email on the iPhone. Then I put that down and grab my 5lb laptop and catch up on news/RSS and then put that down. I can bundle all of that into a 1.5lb package. I don't see it replacing my computer or my phone but there are definitely some areas (light web, email, book reading, maps, casual gaming, etc) where it'll be an AWESOME little device.
