I stood in line for a few freakin' hours weeks into the 3GS launch because they had only two people activating them! If I were to buy an iPad anywhere I'd have been happy to drive to the way off hamlet of Lancaster. :P I saw the Windows 7 Phone thingy...whatever name they gave it. I sorta like the Zune UI so I can see areas where it's nice. What gets me is its taken them 3 years to play catch-up but they didn't demo 3rd party apps or talk about porting for existing WinMo apps. There's just a big void there. Marketplace? Presumably. I read a story today that said there may be no cut/paste functionality in it as it stands today. I'm all for competition. I hope it does well...I just don't see myself buying one. PS: I have no illusions that I won't be pre-ordering an iPad the second they let me...just would be a nice option to know I could have gotten one in store on day one. Even so, we should totally do a geek-out sometime, Peter. PPS: Where the heck are the new MacBook Pros! I sold my 13 in anticipation of a new 15...and now I've been working off a ThinkPad w/ Win 7 for a few weeks. It's killing me slowly. :) Oooo no, not the KoP store!
