Hey Gomo’s! Thanks for another entertaining cast! I agree with you both about the difference in users between the Kindle Fire and the iPad. I will say that I also think that Kindle Fire users could be a subset of the iPad but not the other way around, for the most part.

Who ever wrote the synopses for the cast has got it wrong. I think Peter made a very good point about value vs convenience. I think Chuti was the one that kept raising his voice… but… in the end I think was also trying to make the same point. Digital goods that are available the same time as their physical counter parts ie books, movies, music… (I think) should cost a bit more.

Now with that said… I also think that the same should be true about the cost of the actual physical item, that they should cost less. For example, a bluray copy of Avatar should be less expensive then for a 1080p digital copy. Why? cuz you had to physically go get it if you wanted it on release day or wait for it if you ordered it online. Since the digital copy is available immediately after download, you should have to pay more for it. But enough of that…

I don’t even want to talk about Gmail… after all it got pulled it was so bad. Good to read that Apple is taking the consumer’s response to the battery issue on the iPhone 4s seriously and that they are already working on a fix cuz I’m getting mine in a few weeks and I’d like to not have to worry about that… 😉 The in-store pickup idea I think is genius for those of us who do our shopping online but want the option to go pick it up at a local store as opposed to having to wait for shipping. Is this actually gonna happen though?

Good news about Lasseter’s star on the walk of fame and his homage to Jobs as it is well deserved. I’m on Chapt 10 of the Jobs bio and working my way through. It’s a great read/listen as I am trying to do the same as Peter and apparently many other casters out there and also agree with him that if Apple iBooks did digital read for a bit extra that I would be willing to pay for it :).

I like the new format alot guys! Keep up the great work and fyi… your cast is the first cast in a long time that I can truly say I look forward to listening to and am sad it’s not there when you guys finish for the week…

Oh and btw I was referring to the guy in japan who modded his Connect with a slide projector to shuffle and move text out of the way. Also the Mac item I was referring to in my last comment was the one that Peter talked about the Plugbug…
