I was gonna comment on a couple things, but they’re all answered by the Keynote which I figure you’d be watching tomorrow 🙂

I just found out that in 1.1.3 firmware for iPhone updated the Gmail Preset to use Gmail IMAP and will be configured automatically 🙂

1. Time Capsule. Close by no cigar. They should have made this more like a Windows Home Server, and included “Time Machine for Windows” on the software DVD. That way they make it more of a complete backup solution for us Mixed households.
2. iPhone and iPod Touch updates. Awesome new features for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Lame that iPod Touch users have to pay to get the apps while new users will not have to. Still no copy/paste.
3. Movie rentals. About time. This is a model they should have implemented when they started serving up movies. Finally, the Apple TV gets what it should have had to begin with, HD. Makes be want to finally get that HDTV, New AV Receiver, HD-DVD Player (I still think they should win), and an Apple TV.
4. MacBook Air. I think this is an Awesome devised, but I’d still get a regular MacBook instead. I don’t need a Notebook that thin.
Overall: Great Announcements, but not that thrilling of a Stevenote. There wasn’t a “One More Thing”. Why did he leave it out? Or at least changed his presentation so that the MacBook Air was the “One More Thing.” I think I would have been more impressed if he did it that way.
Okay, I’ll shut up now.

Hey guys! Great review of the Keynote and the Apple products. The boyfriend (Andrew) actually went down for the whole week of MacWorld with his boss from work. Unfortunately they weren’t able to get into the keynote address as the line was too long (went all the way around the entire Mascone convention center) and folks had been camping out since the day before waiting to get in. When they did get in line about 8:30 AM they stopped letting people in about 20 people before them…ouch. Anyway excellent show and review.
