The food talk was funny. I have a lot of friends that forget or don’t realize where our food comes from and the thought of seeing recognizable animal parts creeps them out.

I’m kinda like Pinoyboy, maybe in part because my Mom would make and feed me yummy Vietnamese food (I love sea food and vegies and meat and stuff)… I’m not that squeamish. I’ll try something at least once, most of the time.

I remember seeing live ducks being killed alive. There necks would be cut and the blood would be drained into a bowl for a soup and broth and then they would be boiled in a pot so that they could pluck the feathers off of them. Then the duck would be roasted or cooked some way. And we would eat it in a bowl of noodle soup or rice… Am I grossing you out, yet? Sorry.

Anyway, My friend Erin, who’s a picky eater. Calls me the garbage disposal. lol

I agree with both of you that it’s kinda like our cultures and the way that our parents ate influences our eating habits and I think that has a lot to deal with cultural differences as well. I say potatoes and you say pottotoes… Maybe that analogy doesn’t apply. Anyway, Pete I think you’re missing out on some yummieness and there is less waste as well ;P
